Overview

EPLAN Electrical Designer is a mid-level position responsible for development of P&ID, electrical, network, and control panel drawings.

 

EPLAN Designers will be assigned to work with experienced engineers and collaborate with other RoviSys CAD technicians.  Individual responsibilities will be designated by the lead engineer based on the specific requirements of each project.

Responsibilities

Electrical Design and ConfigurationCreate/edit Drawings:

  • Select panel hardware and cabling
  • Create panel layouts and electrical schematics for controls enclosures
  • Provide technical support for panel fabrication technicians
  • Review of electrical design and build
  • Participate in design review meetings with internal teams and customers
  • Recognize and offer suggestions for continued improvement

Field Verification (Travel ~10%):

  • Participate in point to-point-loop checks
  • Troubleshoot installation discrepancies
  • Support customer testing
  • Field verification of installations and completed control enclosures

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Solid Experience using EPLAN ProPanel and/or P8 Electrical
  • Entry level experience using AutoCAD Electrical or LT
  • Electrical engineering design knowledge
  • Professional level English (C1, C2, or Native)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with IEC codes and EU Low Voltage Directives
  • Entry level Dutch (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2, or Native)
